Premier League clubs meet again today with proposal to conclude season by June 30 set to put on the table

Premier League clubs will hold another online meeting again today with a proposal expected to put on the table for the 2019-20 season to be finished by June 30.
Representatives from all 20 top-flight clubs will discuss the League’s next moves this morning, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to grip the world, with the UK Government extending the lockdown period by an additional three weeks .
It is understood that nine of the clubs want to end the campaign by June 30 due to concerns of the expiring contracts of players.
Many players, including Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen, Chelsea duo Olivier Giroud and Willian, and Manchester City’s David Silva, have contracts that are due to expire on June 30.
But one senior figure at a Premier League club is understood to have expressed surprise that this issue is being considered as a serious factor, given the number of players that would impact and how Fifa are looking at a workaround for such individuals.
It is understood that the proposal to have the season wrapped up by the end of June is not down as an agenda point on Friday, but the matter will surely be raised given the apparent number of supporters behind it.
Planning for the conclusion of the campaign looks tough for top-flight stakeholders given the uncertain backdrop, with the Premier League already having stated that play will not resume until "it is safe and appropriate to do so".

Moyes appears to show colours on ‘null and void’ season
It’s become pretty clear over the last couple of days where David Moyes stands on the resumption of the Premier League season.
His declaration about the number of injuries which could be picked up by playing nine games in a short space of time make it pretty clear.
Seems to us he really doesn’t want the PL to continue with their present policy of showing total determination in getting the ruptured season underway again.
He and Kevin De Bruyne sounded very much like people saying: “Forget it” with the Manchester City man making similar points.
And the word I’m picking up from inside the club is that most may be coming round to Karren Brady’s early view that we would be better off, and probably will eventually be forced to pull down the curtain on this dreadful situation.
It would be very easy to understand the Moyes situation with him admitting he wants to build a new and youthful West Ham squad.
Relegation is still a live possibility if we resume and if we are all entirely honest a closure of the season would suit most of us for health and an entirely selfish West Ham football reason.

Atletico Madrid join West Ham & Sevilla in taking an interest in Bouna Sarr (Marseille)
Spanish side Atletico Madrid have joined Sevilla and Premier League outfit West Ham United in taking an interest in Marseille wide-man Bouna Sarr, according to Foot Mercato.
The 28-year-old joined OM in 2015 and over the last 12 months has begun to become considered as a critical part of André Villas Boas’ set-up, with the Portuguese considering the Frenchman as a potential captain next season.
Sevilla, West Ham and an unnamed German side have registered their interest in acquiring his services this summer, with Atletico Madrid now also making an initial enquiry. The Madrid side are seeking to rid of Colombian right-back Santiago Arias this summer and are looking for someone to provide competition for Kieran Trippier.
OM might be forced to sell Sarr owing to their tricky financial situation, although he has less value on the market than players like Florian Thauvin, Duje Caleta Car, Morgan Sanson and Boubacar Camara.
Under contract with OM until 2022, Sarr has never hidden the extent of his attachment to the Mediterranean side. Stick or twist? The decision that player and club must make in the coming weeks.
